Appetite Control

Appetite Control

Multitasking either controls or shuts off appetite or maybe it does both. If you exercise on your treadmill with sufficient intensity your appetite will subside.

  • Directions: Walk on the treadmill with the treadmill’s tread speed set at two miles per hour and the tread incline set at 1.5 percent, in time, you may notice a diminish in appetite. Ten or fifteen minutes are sufficient enough so that appetite alteration can be noticed.

You have just finished eating a mealtime meal that satisfied your bodies’ caloric requirements.

Then within a short time (less than an hour?) after eating your meal you feel desire, ravenous need, or hunger to eat something or anything in sight. That is called appetite. It needs to be controlled or shut down until it is time for the next meal.

We are being pointed in the direction of a control that expends or takes calories. But doesn’t appetite suggest that you need more calories? Yes, but you know you don’t need these calories. Your body demands them. This is where you have to take control and demonstrate self-restraint.

The treadmill's sole purpose is to utilize or burn consumed calories. That activity is part of a multitask which changes or redirects the focus, of the appetite need, toward accomplishment of a suggested multitasking activity. That is the primary and may be the only reason to do the activity. But there are other reasons just as important but our focus is on weight control. Fitness is a byproduct of our program. Just the act of living or existing requires a supply or consummation of calories. If you don't consume calories you will soon cease to exist.

The first problem is to determine exactly what size or weight you require your body to be. Studies have been made that suggest methods and ways to make this determination. Some professionals claim this knowledge and can make suggestions of what you may find as enviable regarding you body size.

After thinking about this initiation problem about body size, maybe it is not that important to start off by trying to figure what you want in the way of body size. Maybe you should just start off by loosing a few pounds and then going on from there. Multitasking is a learned skill and will take time to learn. Meanwhile you should also be learning what caloric intake is necessary to control weight.

The problem is to consume or eat exactly enough calories to accomplish the desired activity. To accomplish any weight loss you must limit your intake to the permissible amount that you have determined will cause you to loose weight. More than that and you’ll gain weight.

To get a clear understanding of what we are discussing I will give you an example or a common situation you may have come across in you life. You have just finished eating a mealtime meal that satisfies your bodies’ caloric requirements.

Then within a short time (less than a hour?) after eating your meal you feel the desire, need, or hunger to eat something or anything in sight. That is called appetite and it needs to be controlled or shut down until it is time for the next meal. Exercise can temporarily switch off this need. The length of time of this shut down is a function of the length and intensity of the exercise. The only other thing that can alleviate or satisfy this appetite is eating (consuming more calories) something else. That upsets your planed calorie consumption totals. Remember your weight reduction plan calls for consumption of fewer calories and using or burning more calories than you consume.

Food as we represent it here is calories. Calories are a reference to food. The characterization of food suggests that some sort of caloric content exists in the food. All food is equivalent to calories. It doesn't make any difference what the food is or what you name it. It is still a source of calories.

 

What would you rather do workout exercising or work on things using your computer? Why not do both? Multitasking allows this. Work on things using your computer and soon you’ll forget your working out exercising while busy with the computer. The more time you look at your monitor and control the computer the more calories you consume. This results with work done on the computer and a return on your investment in physical fitness.

In any event, what is more important? Work done, physical fitness, or both? Your answer suggests that you can have your cake and eat it too.

Remember the treadmill can burn off extra cake calories.
